Mr. Krogh graduated Magna Cum Laude from Arizona State University and went directly into professional aviation. He held management positions with several aviation firms and was an FAA Check Airman under Part 135 and Part 121 companies. He was a simulator instructor and eventually a senior captain for a major U.S. airline. Mr. Krogh co-founded International Jet in 1979 and served in various capacities including Director of Operations, President and most recently CEO. Mr. Krogh is an FAA-rated Airline Transport Pilot with additional ratings in gliders and seaplanes and has logged more than 16,000 hours. He has experience in many different aircraft including the following jet aircraft: Citation, Learjet, L-29 Delfin, DC-8, DC-10, Airbus 320, and Boeing 727, 737, 757, 767. In addition, Mr. Krogh is a current Certified Flight Instructor and an FAA-licensed Airframe and Powerplant (A & P) Mechanic. He owns and flies his own Cessna 172 for recreation and to introduce others to aviation. Mr. Krogh is a lifetime member of the National Aeronautic Association (NAA), the National Aviation Hall of Fame (NAHF), the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). He has given his volunteer time to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Boy Scouts of America, the All-American Boys Chorus and EAA Young Eagles.
Mr. Smith was given his first flying lesson at the age of 10 in southwestern Connecticut and started flying on his own at the age of 17. He graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Science and a minor in Business Administration. He built most of his early aviation experience flying over 100 different types of single and multi-engine aircraft around the country. For the past 25 years he has been part of International Jet serving in many different capacities including: Director of Training & Standardization, Director of Safety, Check Airman, Chief Pilot and President. Brian has over 12,000 hours and 19 years of commercial airline experience flying to over 30 countries and making 50+ circles around the globe in various Learjets, Boeing 727, DC-10 and MD-11 aircraft. Brian and his family contribute to many charities including Pilots For Kids, Make-A-Wish Foundation, EAA and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Mr. Milam graduated from San Jose State University in 1973 with a degree in Business Administration. Upon graduating from college he went to work for Wells Fargo Bank in San Jose, California. In 1979 Mr. Milam co-founded International Jet where he has served as Company President, CEO and most recently, Chairman. Mr. Milam learned to fly while attending college and is an FAA-rated Commercial Pilot. He owns and flies his own Cessna 182RG and is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA). He has been a volunteer member of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) Golf Tournament Advisory Board for the past several years and has also donated to many other charitable organizations including the Make-a-Wish Foundation, American Heart Association, Volunteers of America and the Arthritis Foundation. Mr. Milam served in the California Army National Guard from 1970 – 1976.
Mr. Gilliss is a native of Colorado where he grew up and continues to make his home today. He fell in love with aviation as a young boy when he was invited to ride in the cockpit of a DC-3 airplane in Costa Rica. From there his journey in aviation has taken him from flying radio-controlled model airplanes as a teenager, to flying as a combat airman in the U.S. Navy for five years, to flying solo for the first time in a Piper Archer in 1994. Mr. Gilliss graduated Summa Cum Laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where he earned a business degree in Management of Technical Operations. He subsequently earned a Master of Finance degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Colorado at Denver. Today, Mr. Gilliss continues to grow his passion for aviation while managing the private jet operations at International Jet. He holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a multi-engine rating and is a Certificated Flight Instructor. Mr. Gilliss helps volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America and enjoys nothing better than watching his two sons play youth football and basketball.
Mr. Anderson being a Colorado native earned his pilot certificate over 35 years ago at the Fort Collins/Loveland Airport and has been actively flying since. With over 6000 hours logged in Learjets alone, he has a depth of high performance turbine experience. He is currently a Learjet FAA authorized Check Airman and facilitates most of the operational compliance issues with the FAA and other regulatory agencies for International Jet Aviation. Other current and former pursuits and interests include Sertoma, professional photography, home construction foreman, cabinetmaker, Civil Air Patrol (recognized as senior member of the year Nebraska Wing 1986), and general tinkerer.
Mr. Champney was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. His father was a Cessna dealer and distributor for West Texas and Southern New Mexico and he became immersed in aviation at a very early age. He soloed on his sixteenth birthday in a twin-engine Cessna 320 on a flight from Wichita, KS to El Paso. Over time, he worked in every facet of the aviation business from maintenance to flight instruction and charter. Mr. Champney graduated, with honors, from the University of Texas at El Paso, majoring in Physics with minors in Mathematics and Accounting. Upon graduating from college he was employed by Farah Manufacturing Company as a corporate jet pilot and engineer. Mr. Champney joined International Jet in 2001 as Lead Air Medical Captain and was Assistant Chief Pilot prior to becoming Chief Pilot. Mr. Champney holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate, Flight and Ground Instructor certificates, and is also glider rated having logged a total of 7,500 hours. He has served as an Aviation Explorer Post Advisor with the Boy Scouts of America, is a guest lecturer at Metropolitan State College, and was a very active referee and Co-Chairman of the State Referee Committee for the Colorado State Youth Soccer Association for many years. He is married with three grown daughters and eight grandchildren.
Donovan has studied, researched and written about emerging issues in aviation safety programs, organizational culture and systems, most often focusing upon how human factors' problems affect workgroups in flight operations centered companies. Donovan attended post-graduate study at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the Master of Aeronautical Science program with a dual specialization in Human Factors and Management. He also attended the University of Colorado at Boulder, and The Metropolitan State College of Denver for his undergraduate education graduating with honors. Donovan actively participates and gives service to many internationally recognized professional and academic organizations. He is also a Captain currently flying the Learjet 31A, 35 and 55.
Justin was born and raised in Colorado. It is here, where he also completed all of his flight training. Shortly after obtaining a B.S. in Business Aviation Technology and a Minor in Finance from Metropolitan State College of Denver, he began working for International Jet. Over the last 10 years with the company, Justin has had various roles, including Director of Safety, Assistant Chief Pilot, Chief Pilot- Medical Operations and Company Check Pilot. When Justin isn't at work, he is with his family enjoying everything Colorado has to offer.
Mr. Adam Sherak’s aviation career started right after high school, joining the U.S. Navy assigned to flight deck V-1 Division onboard the Nimitz class supercarrier U.S.S. Carl Vinson, responsible for the security and movement of aircraft on the flight deck. During this time he served in both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Post military, Adam joined and graduated from Westwood College of Aviation Technology before beginning his career with International Jet where he advanced quickly to the position of Lead Mechanic and ultimately the Maintenance Manager/Chief Inspector. Adam has over a decade of aviation experience servicing various aircraft including Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault, Cessna and other jet/turboprop products. When he's not maintaining aircraft, he enjoys spending outdoor time with his daughter and enjoying all that Colorado has to offer such as hunting, camping and fishing .
Mr. Strangfeld has been involved in aviation all of his life. His career started as an aircraft mechanic achieving A & P, IA, and FAA Designated Airworthiness Representive ratings. While working as a mechanic he completed his pilot rating up to an ATP with type ratings in jet aircraft. He has held positions as Chief Pilot for international corporations and personally bought and sold aircraft all over the world, including a trip to Russia during the end of the cold war to purchase a dozen military fighters. Mr. Strangfeld is a 4th generation Colorado native who attended Metropolitan State Colleges' Aviation Management program and enjoys snowboarding and downhill mountain bike racing.
Mr. John Ceimet has worked in aviation for 7 years as a Line Technician. John currently manages the facilities and oversees all hangar and ramp operations for International Jet. He graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science in Aviation Technology and a Minor in Speech Communications. John is working on his commercial pilot certificate and one day he hopes to fly corporate jets. John is a Colorado native and he enjoys skiing, snow boarding, flying leisurely and restoring classic cars.
Steve grew up in Reno where he took his first flying lesson at the age of 15. He received his Private Pilot's License at the age of 17 and he now holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-Engine Rating and is a Certified Flight and Ground School Instructor. In 2008 Steve graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Aeronautical Science and a minor in Aviation Safety, with a dream of becoming pilot for a major airline. While attending college, he completed a Flight Operations internship at a jet charter company and discovered that he enjoyed the logistics and variety of aviation i.e. operations, scheduling, customer service, fuel, etc. Steve recently moved from Chicago. When he is not busy exploring all the corners of Colorado, his new home; he is busy playing for two different hockey leagues in the Denver area.
Galiya joins the international Jet team as an M.S. graduate of The National Aviation Academy in Baku, Azerbaijan, where upon graduation she traveled to British Columbia and obtained her restricted radio operator license. After returning to Baku, where she was raised, she continued her role as a Flight Follower for a multi-national helicopter company serving one of the world’s largest oil and natural gas companies. With a heavy but fulfilled heart, she departed the world of helicopters and oil as a Health & Safety Executive to write her next chapter in Germany with her new husband. Becoming proficient in German and developing an appreciation for European travel, Galiya accepted her next challenge in relocating to the US in 2011. When not serving her clients of International Jet, Galiya enjoys spending time with her 16 month old daughter, reading, and cooking with friends and family.
Irina Hurley was born in Kazakhstan and moved to the United States in 2000. After graduating from Ohio University with a BA in Public Administration, she moved to Los Angeles, CA and worked as Senior Manager with GCI Concepts for 8 years. She recently moved to Denver where she has been able to match her skills with being a Flight Coordinator at International Jet. Although relatively new to aviation, Irina is excited to be a part of the fast paced aircraft charter & management team. During her leisure time, Irina enjoys dancing salsa, playing guitar, and making gourmet dinners for her friends and family.
As Director of Customer Relations, Lisa provides concierge-level service to meet our client’s needs and discerning tastes to ensure their flights are as smooth as possible. Lisa's client experience ranges from high-profile celebrities to Board of Directors and C-Level managers. International Jet clients know they can count on Lisa to deliver a first class experience whether it’s in regards to a specially arranged charter or the uniquely designed hospital outreach program.
Lisa also brings a lot of new and innovative marketing solutions to International Jet to assist in enhancing our image within the industry. Lisa handles all marketing and website development as well as our customized Broker Appreciation Program.
Adam Brown is a Colorado native and as Director of Business Development at International Jet, Adam enjoys working in the community in which he was raised. He graduated with a degree in Aviation Management from Metropolitan State University of Denver where he learned about the vast and ever changing world of aviation. After attaining his degree, Adam was hired on as a Sales and Customer Service Representative for Signature Flight Support. Through his work at a Fixed Base Operator Adam provided services to Pilots, Aircraft Owners, Celebrities and Airport Operations. He is a professional sales and marketing consultant with a strong foundation of Aviation Management. Adam loves aviation and has a passion for Private Jet Charter.
Cindy earned an Associate Degree in Accounting in 1987 from North Central State College in Mansfield, Ohio. After moving to Colorado in 1992, Cindy worked numerous jobs in accounting before becoming the Controller for International Jet Aviation Services in 1999. Although Cindy loves her accounting work, her passion is gardening and working outdoors.
Originally from Serbia, Jovana came to Colorado when she was 6 and has lived here since. She got her B.A. in Communications from the University of Colorado at Denver. New to the aviation world, Jovana is excited to be a part of International Jet, and is looking forward to learning a lot more about the industry.
Heike Schaeffer is the assistant controller and started to work at International Jet Aviation in January of 2000. She was born and raised in Germany and graduated with a B.A. in Finance. During her free time, she enjoys the beautiful Colorado outdoors, going on nature walks with her dog and entertaining family and friends. Together with her husband they are considered a founding family for their son’s STEM High school.
